Matt Moore was promoted. Looking for guys who'll help in 2012 but haven't gotten a cup of coffee yet.
Thank you!

Shelby Miller
Trevor Bauer
Danny Hultzen

Bryce Harper
Travis D’Arnaud
Johnathan Singleton

Are the ones that pop into my head, but I'm iffy on the hitters because SO many top hitting specs got cups of coffee in 2011 and/or are much further away than 2012. Harper's the safest bet of the hitters to make it to the majors in 2012.

Please help w/ mine! Thanks!

Yeah good selections:

C Devin Mesoraco, Ryan Lavarnway, Wilin Resario

1b qualified
Jonathan Singleton. Anthony Rizzo, Chris Carter (next year is his year he's got an opening now), David Cooper, Chris Marrero, Rich Poythress (only thing blocking him is Smoak and he's got DH also - and they are going to use Carp in the OF and split-DH so Rich might make it sooner in 12), Brandon Snyder (come on if they can't get Fielder I think he'll get his shot - similar to Reynolds but a little better), Ryan Wheeler (Zona - well who they have there? They need a 1b and will have an opening - I expect them to get him a shot)

2b Daniel Descalso, Chris Nelson, Jean Segura (2b/SS), Steve Lombardazzi, Kyle Seager

SS
Manny Machado, Hak-Ju Lee (not really much blocking him big bopping SS good for fantasy purposes), Billy Hamilton, Jose Iglesias, Grant Green, Nick Franklin

3b
Zach Cox (if Freese isn't resigned), Josh Vitters (aram probably gone in Chicago or inevitably gets hurt - calls on Vitters), Matt Dominguez, James Darnell

OF
Brett Jackson, Bryce Harper, Will Myers, Mike Trout

P
Mike Montgomery
Shelby Miller
Drew Pomeranz
Zach Lee
Martin Perez
Jordan Lyles
Casey Kelly
Liam Hendricks
Jarrod Parker
John Lamb
Manny Banuelos
Zach Wheeler
Longshot: Trevor Bauer

SAV,

Is your only focus on 2012? Because MANY of the guys others named probably won't play more than part of 2012, if at all.

I think the best prospect for 2012, period, is Shelby Miller.

I do like Mesoraco, but I think it's possible he gets jerked around--Baker hates rookies. They may re-sign Hernandez.

D'Arnaud had a terrific year, but he's blocked by Arencibia.

People keep writing that Brett Jackson will be 20/20, but I think he strikes out too much.

Wieland on SD and Skaggs on AZ could be good if they get a chance to be part of the rotation. I don't think Banuelos or Betances will next year for NYY, but you never know.

The SS prospects (Profar, Machado) are too far away. If Harper gets called up, it's late season. He wasn't exactly tearing up double A.

Most of the other prospects mentioned by others, I think, are too far away to make an impact next year. I agree with Zoo...a lot of top prospects and mid-level guys got called up in 2011.

I would be shocked if Shelby Miller is up before September.

Came to post this. The rotation is pretty much set with Wainwright coming back. They could still trade(try) Lohse or Westbrook and resign Jackson too. Otherwise they'd be foolish to bring Shelby up before September.
