Mar 26 The San Francisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman reports San Francisco Giants SP Jerome Williams (mouth) was hit in the mouth by a throw from home-plate umpire Ron Kulpa, who tossed Williams a new baseball when the pitcher wasn't looking. He has a swollen lip but is OK.

Mar 30 The San Francisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman reports San Francisco Giants SP Jerome Williams (pride) gave up a hit to the batboy when his errant throw to home plate hit the bats the batboy was toting back to the dugout. He was embarassed but is OK.

A lot of people are high on him, I'm not, can't really see him breaking through, especially with his terrible spring. Its kinda funny that umps are putting players on the DL now.

I'm not rushing to judgement, but he's 0-5 in the Cactus.
Last year he had a decent winning record(7-5) and a low ERA(3.3, 3rd lowest among rooks), though.
There have been rumors that he will start off the season in AAA
ball due to his slow start in spring training.. not sure if it will happen though because of Schmidts status
