I am trying to put together my 2012 keepers, and here is my potential list so far:
12 team h2h league In parenthesis is the round they can be kept in next season: Reyes (3rd) Napoli (10th) John Mayberry Jr (21st) Zack Cozart (21st) Ben Revere (17th) Leonys Martin (21st) Johnny Cueto (17th) Brandon Beachy (19th) Trevor Cahill (13th) Jarrod Parker (21st) Anthony Rizzo (21st) Shaun Marcum (6th) Chris Carpenter (6th) John Danks (12th) Arodys Vizcaino (21st) Brad Peacock (21st) Garret Richards (21st)
I can only keep 7, and I am so far leaning towards Napoli, Mayberry, Cozart, Cueto, Beachy, Cahill, and Parker. I just can't decide if I should take Reyes that early or not, cause I could switch Mayberry or Rizzo with Reyes. The only thing that scares me about Rizzo is his ballpark, and the one thing that scares me away from Mayberry is the fact that he might not get enough playing time. I hope the Phillies would learn to play him more next season though.
definities: reyes (he's too good not to keep and he'd definitely go earlier than round 3 in a regular draft) cueto beachy peacock - great in the minors this year, good stuff vizcaino - top pitching prospect, at a minimum, will be in the bullpen
do you have to keep 7 guys? i'd rather have the draft picks than the guys you have.
on the fence re napoli. based on career stats and babip, he's due for a big regression next year. i don't think he'll give you 10th round value.
no on mayberry. next year, domonic brown will be the starter.
no on rizzo. SD is a pitcher's park and their offense scks.

You don't have to keep 7, but I feel like having Jarrod Parker in the 21st would be a great addition. I just can't decide between him and Peacock, every site I have looked at says Parker is the better prospect though.
if you like parker, then keep him with the 21st rounder. he had decent, not great, stats at AA, and i don't even know if he'll start the season in the majors. that's why i'm lukewarm.

Yeah there is just speculation that he will make the ML rotation next year since he is getting a start tomorrow to asses how he pitches in the majors.
Do you feel like I should keep Marcum over Parker?
I'm not sure there is any way you could let Reyes with the cost of a 3rd. There is just too much value there.
Reyes Napoli Cueto Beachy Marcum
Those would be the 5 for sures for me. Cahill is probably too expensive at a 13rd pick for me but it isn't too out of line. He was somewhere around 11th rounder last season. I like the value of Cozart as well but unless you run with a MI position then I don't think he is worth a pure Util role in a 12-team league.
