I think it would depend on weather Tampa has a shot at the wild card next Wednesday. If it's a deciding game, I think they might give him the start, depending on when Shields and Price last pitched. I think dropping Motte for him in case that happens would definitely be worth the add. He could also be a strong trade chip since this is a keeper league and we all know everyone loves top prospects.
We can only keep 6 players, so putting the keeper element aside for a moment is he worth the add? I only have one move left for the finals. Is there a better streaming option bEtween now and then?
While not knowing the depth of your league or the free agent pitchers available in your league, I'm sure you could find a viable option for someone to pick up for a spot start based solely on the fact that it's a mixed league. Probably someone with decent ratios who is less than impressive in K's pitching against one of the lower offences in baseball, such as Seattle, Minnesota, San Francisco, Oakland, etc. As far as Moore is concerned, I would say the potential is there for him to have the best performance of the available starters based on his skill level combined with the fact that he would be facing they Yankees on one of the last two days of the season. The Yankees have already clinched the division and will surely rest their best players for and extra day or so preparing for the postseason. But that is based on where Tampa is in the wild card standings at that time. So basically, if you're looking for a safe pick to stream a guaranteed starter look elsewhere, if you want to gamble on someone with the highest upside go with Moore.
I think you grab Moore solely for keeper purposes. It is too unpredictbale whether he gets another start. I think it has a lot to do with where the Rays stand next week in the wild card. I tdoes bode well for him that they put him in a must win game last night and with 6 games left he would have ample rest. I think he LIKELY gets a start but if you need a sure thing, he isn't it.
