Pick Up Ben Revere? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Wed Sep 21, 2011 2:08 am

I need an extra outfielder and an edge in SB. Should I pickup Ben Revere? He's heating up and has no off days plus a double header on Saturday at Cleveland. if so who do I drop?

- Jason Motte? My opponent has papelbon and Kimbrel so Motte gives me an edge as a third closer.
- Brandon Beachy? He starts Saturday @Washington so it could be a good start, but I might be able to pick up someone else.
- someone else? I'm relying in two starts from Lewis so not sure he can be the guy.

I would say motte, he is a closer with an era around 1.5, that's hard to come by

Ben has been on a tear and he does have Seatlle and Cleveland, these are pitchers he would face Pineda (9-10), Beavan (5-5), Masterson (12-10), Tomlin (12-7), Huff (2-6), and Jimenez (10-11). Which should fair well for him. He seems to have been constantly getting hits and as long as he gets on base he has the potential to get a steal. So if you feel like you need mainly average and steals and the occasional run and rbi then pick him up while he is hot.

Yes. In fact, I also grabbed Coco Crisp because Lawrie went down. So I have no excuse not to have a nearly-full to full lineup every day. The downside is that I only have one move left between now and the end of the finals (9/28). But I have at least 8-10 SPs left. Do I target another SP for early next week?
