Dynasty league WHIR

Postby crod8712 » Mon Sep 19, 2011 7:43 pm

I'm in a 12 team dynasty league that is transitioning from H2H to ROTO. Scoring cats are RUN, RBI, HR, SB, AVG, W, K, ERA, WHIP, SAVE. Next year, we are adding C, MI, CI, 2 OF, 2 SP, and 1 RP. I am only allowed to keep 27 this year. Here is what my roster looks like thus far:

C: Joe Mauer
C:
1B: Eric Hosmer
2B: Kelly Johnson
SS: Hanley Ramirez
3B: Mark Reynolds
MI: Jason Kipnis
CI: Billy Butler
OF: Carl Crawford
OF: Josh Hamilton
OF: Chris Young
OF: Lance Berkman
OF: Alex Gordon
UTIL: Alexis Rios

BENCH: Emilio Bonifacio
BENCH: Carlos Beltran
BENCH:
BENCH:

SP: Felix Hernandez
SP: Josh Johnson
SP: Zack Greinke
SP: Mat Latos
RP: John Axford
RP: Javy Guerra
RP: Kyle Farnsworth
P: C.C. Sabathia
P: Ubaldo Jimenez
P: Max Scherzer

BENCH: Ricky Nolasco
BENCH: Jaime Garcia

Should I drop guys like Kelly Johnson and Alexis Rios? Anyone else? Yes I know my pitching staff is pretty stacked :) These are some FA's that I like: Dellin Betances, Kenley Jansen, Fowler, Span, Rajai Davis, Revere, Bedard, Broxton, Volquez, Jorge de la Rosa, Casey Kelly, and Henderson Alvarez. Should I make any moves?

I would drop Alex Rios first... then possibly Kelly Johnson. I'm not sure any of those free agents make you much better. I would have to do some research on a few of those names so I'm guessing they are rookies or top end prospects lol. Sorry I can't help much!

I agree, drop Rios first. Then Kelley Johnson if you want to make another move.

I was pretty set on Rios and Kelly. Just wondering what you guys thought about those FA's...

Definately pick up Jansen and then you can pick or choose between the SB leadoff guys of Span, Fowler and Davis. I might also take a young guy like Betances, Kelly or Alvarez but would need to do more research before I could pick one of them for you.

THanks for help with mine.

Did I read that right? You can keep 27 players?

I like Jansen and Fowler.
