Mar 27 The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Seattle Mariners scouts attended Friday's Pittsburgh Pirates game, fueling speculation Pirates C Jason Kendall is on the trading block.

Good or bad for Kendall owners?

He's pretty much been on the trading block since the Pirates realized they wasted money on him a few years ago. They couldn't give him away.

If this happens (and don't hold your breath ... the Mariners throw around nickels like they're manhole covers), Kendall's value won't change much.

As a solid average guy he'll do fine in that spacious yard, though the few homers he hit in Pittsburgh will evaporate entirely. Still, going to a much better team in a DH league could bump his runs and RBI slightly.
