Anybody think this guy has a chance of staying healthy? I grabbed him in the 21st round to compete with Milton Bradley in my 4th OF spot. Was this pick a steal that late or a bust? I'm not sure myself, but couldn't pass him up that late. In my points league, Ks count as -1 point, while BBs count as 1 pt. So with his good K/BB ratio in years past, the potential is there.
If I get a big year out of Floyd or Juan Gone, I'll be happy. Even if they can manage to alternate their DL stints, I'll be happy. But I'm really not dependent on Floyd. 290, 25, 90, 10-20 would tickle me to death, though.
Well, some of you know, that I am not the president of the Cliff Floyd fan club. I have never drafted him and have never been sorry.
-He doesn't run anymore.
-His body is more fragile than glass.
-He hits in a park that makes Dallas Airport look small.
-There is no one to drive him in when he gets on base.
Last year he might have been a top thirty outfielder. This year, i doubt he is top 50. He might be useful as a bench player on a fantasy team, maybe put him in the three games he plays at Coors, but for my money, there are plenty of other outfielders out there to plug holes.

Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Well, in the 21st round as my possible 4th OFer, I would say that he can't be a bust by definition. No risk involved for me, at that pick. That said, I appreciate the input. Even if I get him until June only, as long as he produces up until that time, I would have gotten my money's worth at that pick. Moreover, I can't stress enough his value in my league with his good K/BB ratio.

Before the season last year, The sporting news ranked him the 27th outfielder (before injury) and espn ahd him 30th. I consistently saw him drafted in the top 30 outfielders. That is what i meant by top 30.
