Ohh, I see. hell yeah, if you can get Rhodes or Nathan for Gibbons then do it by all means.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

I drafted both of them! My third (first) closer is Isringhausen and I plan to pick up Valverde once Mantei takes his trip to the DL (it may be sooner than later!).
An unanswered question is better than an unquestioned answer
The 1,1.. 2,2S.. O,O stands for eligibility..
so you think I'll be okay if I trade away Gibbons for Nathan? Is Nathan better than Rhodes?
The guy I'm trading with has both Rhodes and Nathan, I'm debating on which one on want...
I think it will solidify my closer position. With 14 teams, closers are rare... any last thoughts? I was kind of leaning toward Nathan, he does have a high era in spring training but i'n sure that will change..
I wouldn't worry too much about which guy. Just get the deal done (before he changes his mind), and hope that whoever you end up with is able to be effective. If you're leaning towards Nathan then go with him.

[quote="mtarail"]Rhodes is more valuable than Nathan. But talent/risk-wise I'd say that they are about even. Right now Nathan has velocity problems and Rhodes is just having problems overall.

just quite curious as to what problems rhodes is actually having? looks to me like a solid spring, and the guy is throwing behind one of the best starting rotations in baseball. problems??
I agree with RynMan here....I would take Rhodes behind the OAK staff over Nathan and the Twinkie Staff....

Good thing closers don't have to pitch every day.....
