I am aloud to keep 7 players, I would appreciate whatever input you guys can give.
Starters: Mark Trumbo Robinson Cano Elvis Andrus Emilio Bonifacio Drew Stubbs Logan Morrison Matt Holliday Yadier Molina Jon Jay Jesus Guzman Zack Greinke Wandy Rodriguez Rick Porcello Craig Kimbrel Shaun Marcum Mike Minor
Bench: Freddie Freeman Placido Polanco Delmon Young *Brian Wilson *Jorge De La Rosa Jeremy Guthrie *Adam Wainwright Kyle Lohse Tim Stauffer *Josh Johnson
K. Morales M. Napoli C. Jones M. Trout E. Andrus R. Cano J. Upton M. Holliday N.Swisher (DH) E. Encarnacion (DH)
A. Wainwright Z. Greinke M. Moore C. Kimbrel J. Zimmerman A. Chapman
Do you have to keep 7? Can you get draft picks in place of keepers? If yes, I would just keep those 3.
If not, I would add Marcum, Trumbo, Johnson, and Freeman.
The toughest cuts were Andrus (you can get speed later) and Wainwright (no guarantee he comes back 100%, and his innings will be limited to ~160 for the year)
Thats what I was thinking, I think the SS position being so thin I would keep Andrus. Wainwright I picked up and stashed on my bench so i'm 50/50 on him. But I thought if my rotation was JJ, MArcum, Grenkie, Wainwright, and Kimbrel I would be stacked. The comish worded it as protecting 7 players, I'm getting clarification on it.
So my 7 as of now would be
Cano, Holliday, Grenkie, Andrus, Trumbo, and any 2 of Marcum, Johnson , Wainwright, Kimbrel.
How's that order?
Is Kimbrel worth keeping if it doesnt cost me a pick?
Thanks for the feedback, this has been driving me nuts.

With only 7, Marcum and Andrus aren't keepers imo.

I always hesitate to give alot of input w/o full knowledge of the settings but in most cases I'd say Cano, Andrus, Holliday, Greinke, Kimbrel, Freeman & maybe Wainwright
Cano Holliday Grienke and Josh Johnson are no-brainers.
I think I'd also keep Marcum, Wainwright (he should be recovered by then), and Kimbrel.
I'd try to move one of my starters (Marcum, I think) for a comparable hitter, as hitting is generally more consistent than pitching. Maybe someone like Konerko, because everyone seems to dislike him, but he's consistently very productive.
Andrus is good in two categories and it wouldn't surprise me to see him moved out of the #2 hole for someone who gets on base more often. But he's the hardest guy to leave off. I could see keeping him over Marcum.
Please check out my post on Kennedy vs. Lester. Thanks in advance.
