2012 Firstbase

Postby wrveres » Sat Sep 03, 2011 3:48 pm

okay im bored.
Lets look forward to next season, first base continues to be very deep.
An argument can be made to bypass that 1B run that always happens in round one, and concentrate on your more shallow positions.
So, lets rank 1B for 2012, and get a good look at just how deep the 2012 offerings go ..
Feel free to rank as many as you want. Top 10, top 20, top 30, top 40??
I'll average em out later .. thanks.

curious as to why Belt and Hosmer are getting votes here, is this who will be the best 1b next yr or best vs there ADP.

either way Hosmer won't be cheap, Belt can be had late but if I'm looking late I'd probably go Blanks.

I took Albert, I think his contract situation was the reason he started so poorly (pressing)

Title is sorta vague and could be interpreted in any number of ways. I picked Votto because, well, he's my guy (along with Hosmer) in my money keeper league. :-b
C-Doumit, Salty
1B- Fielder
2B-Pedroia
SS-Reyes
3B-Longoria
CI- Morneau
MI- Kipnis
OF- Myers Jennings Heyward
U- Ellsbury, B. Upton, Bruce

SP-Price Fernandez Miller Wheeler, Kluber
RP-Grilli, Farquhar, Crow, Veras

sorry, but i intended for it to be vague.
you can read it as number one overall, best value, whatever.
im just trying to show the insane depth at the position ...

It's always deep. But that doesn't mean that you can wait at 1B.
