Is Prior on the DL?

Postby The Jury » Tue Mar 30, 2004 10:42 pm

I haven't really been following the officialities, I just know that my main man has been banged up this spring. Is he on the Cubs DL?

How bout Schmidt?

Prior isn't on the DL yet, but it's just a formality. They can put him on the DL retroactive to any date after he played his last game of the season, I believe. So even if they wait till April 9th to put him on the 15 day DL, he can still come off on April 12th. Not sure why it's the 12th though, it seems like it should be the 14th :-? Oh well.

They can put him on the DL retroactive until the last day of ST...since the season officially began on the 30th....he will be eligible on the 12th... :-)

But I don't expect him back before the first of May.... :-/
