Honestly neither, in Alvarez's case Toronto still has series against Boston, Yankees, and Angels. In Sosa's case Houston is just horrible but has an easier schedule with only really Philly as the main series to worry about, and Sosa faces the Pirates who has skidded a bit. So I would go with Sosa.

Alvarez.
Better team around him, better park to pitch in, better ERA, WHIP so far. Sosa pitches against PIT for the 2nd time in a week, this is never good: they have seen his stuff and big league hitters will adjust and have much better approaches to him this time around.

Pitching against Pittsburgh for the second time is always better than pitching against Boston any time...
