Pick One Player

Postby howard » Thu Sep 01, 2011 4:40 pm

Here's an easy one: Hanley is done for, so I am looking to drop him and add one player for the playoffs. Which of these players would you pick up:

Andre Ethier (LAD) (OF)
Carlos Beltran (SF) (OF)
Yunel Escobar (Tor) (SS)
Edwin Encarnacion (Fla) (1B, 3B)
Chipper Jones (Atl) (3B)
Mike Trout (LAA) (OF)

or, if no one here improves my team much, I can just use that roster spot for spot starters during the week as good match ups arise.

Here's my team:

Standard Yahoo 10 teams, head to head
C Victor Martinez (Det)
1B Lance Berkman (StL)
2B Kelly Johnson (Ari)
3B Neil Walker (Pit)
SS Emilio Bonifacio (Fla)
OF Josh Hamilton (Tex)
OF Curtis Granderson (NYY)
OF Adam Jones (Bal)
Util Joe Mauer (Min)
Util Peter Bourjos (LAA)
DL Carlos Quentin (CWS)

SP CC Sabathia (NYY)
SP Jered Weaver (LAA)
RP Jordan Walden (LAA)
RP Joel Hanrahan (Pit)
P Roy Oswalt (ChC) (SP)
P Johnny Cueto (Cin) (SP)
P Randy Wolf (Mil) (SP)
P Wandy Rodriguez (Hou) (SP)
BN Ivan Nova (NYY) (SP)
BN Chris Carpenter (StL) (SP)
BN Jamie Garcia (StL) (SP)
BN Vance Worley (Phi) (SP)

Here is my order

Beltran (best overall)
Chipper (best based on need as you are a lil weak in your MI)
Ethier (don't like him, but he's got talent)
Trout (concern would only be PT and experience)

help me again?
