Apparently Street isn't getting the closers job back right away though
Rockies manager Jim Tracy said that even though Huston Street is back from the disabled list, Rafael Betancourt will remain his closer for the time being.
"I'm not going to pull the plug on Betancourt right now," Tracy said. "I can't do that... can't do it. It's a decision that's being made in the best interests of the players and the club, period." Betancourt converted all three of his save chances while Street was on the shelf, and he's yet to give up an earned run in the second half, allowing up only five hits and one walk while striking out 28 over 16 2/3 innings. We'll probably see Street back in the ninth inning before the end of the year, but we can't blame Tracy for keeping a red-hot Betancourt in the role for now.
