he's not even close to being the most valuable player on his own team.
he has a .965 OPS and 28 hr and 100 RBI and it's still august. I agree that Braun is better, but his "MVP stats" stack up with anyone.

I don't see why he would. He's putting up worse offensive numbers than multiple players who don't have the deadly combination of being a bad fielder at the easiest position and a horrible base-runner. Not much makes sense in MVP voting, but I at least have enough faith that they don't consider Fielder.
