Parnell has been pretty lousy the last few weeks. The mets have been pretty lousy the last few years. I'd much sooner drop Parnell than Beltra since u have other viable closers and I think the offensive patching will help u more but dropping Beltre could come back to haunt.
Rangers manager Ron Washington said Adrian Beltre could test out his hamstring by running the bases as early as Saturday.
Beltre took batting practice Friday for the second straight day and also fielded ground balls for 10 minutes on Thursday. He didn't sound terribly pleased about the progress of his hamstring, though. "It's a little better," Beltre said. "It's progressing, but slowly." Beltre aggravated his initial hamstring injury two weeks ago when he first tried to run again, so the Rangers are taking it slowly with him. Washington has said previously that he doesn't expect his third baseman back before September.

is playoff week 2 the first week you would play if you got the buy? or the 2 week YOU play, bc if he comes back for the first playoff round for you there is no question you keep beltre, if you drop him he will be picked up immediately in your league, i would definetely keep him
