jeez the giants are paying for their relatively injury free 2010.
first buster and freddy sanchez out for the year, pablo already missing a month, belt missing time with a fractured wrist, and zito/jonathan sanchez/tejada spending time on the DL. in the last day pablo hurt himself on a foul ball yesterday (seems to be ok after xrays were negative), zito is out again for awhile, romo on the DL with elbow inflammation, schierholtz may have broken his foot, keppinger out after a collision at first, beltran out with a wrist strain, and jonathan sanchez just hurt his ankle on a play in the 2nd inning of todays game. this season is pretty much over.
i'm going to just assume this was the price we had to pay for a world championship and not feel so terrible about it.
edit: forgot torres is on the DL and rowand is hurt as well. the bench for tonight's game consists of mark derosa and eli whiteside.

well... this is true. but, they're still only 2 games out. last I checked their pitching staff was led by Lincecum, Cain, and Bumgarner. and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's the diamondbacks they are trying to keep up with.
i understand things seem bad right now, but take it from a twins fan, if you're in the race there is a chance.

Batting 400 since all star break and OPS'ing 1.1... Guy is out of his mind.
