Was offered Ian Kinsler and Matt Cain for Jay Bruce. I'm currently in 1st place by 7 points but there are 3 teams below me that have the potential to move right up and overtake me. I have 10s and over in all offensive categories except steals (6). Pitching I'm all over the board (top of the league in saves and Ks but middle of the pack everywhere else). Does this trade make sense? Bruce is on fire and I'm thinking maybe it makes more sense to ride him down the stretch to a hopeful championship.

I would take the deal...If you are already at the top in hitting, Bruce's overall stats will not help you anymore than Kinsler...Kinsler may actually help you some in steals, plus Bruce is as streaky as they come...Cain will give you solid numbers across the board. So I think the two for one is definitely worth it and a sell high on Bruce (I would rather consistency over hot hitter)
Hope it helps!

Settled on adding Ethier to the deal and getting Melky Cabrera back. Think it makes the deal even better considering how bad Ethier has been and how great Melky has been.

i would take the trade. You say you are leading the offensive categories, so Kinsler instead of Bruce won;t make much of a difference. Bruce has been streaky and Kinsler would likely give you a small boost in SB, which sounds like you could use. Cain is solid and should help all of your pitching categories, so the trade is really a win-win if you ask me.
Help with mine?
