i would do this trade... you can easily plug Lawrie into the UTIL spot and trust me Lawrie is a beast just by looking at this swing and he's going to be given playing time from here on out i believe. Harrison and Carpenter basically cancel each other out but Carpenter has been performing well lately hes won 7 of his last 8 decisions and he puts up more K's .. Valverde is a key piece here i think you could really use him Rivera seems unsteady lately but that might be a little rust on old machine but he's very old and the pressure is mounting in ny because they want to win the division only 0.5 game back so having valverde to get those saves aswell helps!

This guy hasn't responsed and the deadline is tonight. Aother team proposed this. Thoughts?

I give: Ethier and Harrison
I get: Freddie Freeman and Ricky Romero

He also proposed the same with scherzer instead of Romero

You can always use better pitching going into the playoffs. Its a go for it kind of trade and it makes sense for a team trying to make a run at a title.

Sherzer gonna get you more Ks, Romero won't kill your WHIP.

I am generally more confident in Romero. But do the Yankee-red sox matchups make it a bad idea? Or will he still outperform Harrison for me?

I like Romero too, right now. Sherzer did look a lot better earlier in the season. Its a tough call. Romero only has 1 or 2 more starts against those teams (Bos+NYY). I think 1 against each (could be wrong, happens a lot).

If it were my team I'd take Romero > Sherz.

What about the offense of Freeman vs. Ethier?

I give the slight edge to Freeman cause I'm a sucker for power. Kind of negligible I think. Your team's offense is pretty sick and Freeman/Ethier won't really make a difference.

I guess, gun to my head, I would take Freeman. I'm pretty confident hes good for another 5-6 homers before the season is through.
