Stephen Strasburg..

Postby lastingsgriller » Sat Aug 13, 2011 4:08 pm

I've seen some people complaining that the cafe has lost something recently... some have argued that it's better than it has been in years..

all I really know is that something has been missing.. and it's time to regain it's glory.

who's ready for... ANOTHER STEPHEN STRASBURG THREAD?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am that's for sure. ;-D

so.. he was destructive last night for 3 innings, giving up 2 hits, striking out 5 and topping out at 99 over 3 innings. 8-o

i picked him up the moment i heard he would be back this season (even though our league rules stipulate that if you pick up a player already on the DL you can't move him to your DL and must use a roster spot for him.)

is he gonna lead my team to a championship with fantasy playoff dominance? is he going to lead your team to a championship with fantasy playoff dominance? discuss! I'm excited..

Scooped him for $7 at the end of my auction this year. Getting ready to reap the rewards. I can't wait to get Dillon Gee off my roster!

I'm keeping him as a 24th rounder in a Cafe league for next year. I hope he rebounds to his former glory.

RHP Stephen Strasburg pitched six one-hit, shutout innings in his final rehab start, and he will start Tuesday against the Dodgers. The right-hander, sidelined since having Tommy John surgery last September, likely will work four innings against the Dodgers, with Brad Peacock -- another one of the Nationals' top prospects -- making his major league debut in relief of Strasburg. In six rehab outings overall, Strasburg went 1-1 with a 3.54 ERA. He struck out 29 and walked three in 20 1/3 innings.

Heard he only threw 99 today. What gives? And a K/9 under 13 against minor league hitters? I think this bum has lost it. He even allowed a hit in this game ...

I'm gonna have to tune in for those 4 innings. This guy is something else to watch... hope he still has that nasty curveball. He'll probably be using mostly fastballs though.
