If you mean more than just this year, look at Robbie Alomar in 2002. He went from a perennial MVP candidate to journeyman. He had finished in the top 5 in MVP voting 2 of the previous 3 years and then, suddenly, he hit .266 with 5 homers and 12 sb. Just brutal.

He was on the DL, sure. My point was that during the time he has been active, which is the vast majority of the season, he has been downright awful. I don't think he can play the injury card as an excuse for his overall poor production.
