My Logan Morrison for his Mat Latos/David Ortiz. It's a 10 Team H2H Dynasty League, with 5x5 cats plus OBP, SLG, Holds, and K/BB. My pitching staff is crazy good right now, and I'm second in the league right now--at this point I've pretty much clinched a playoff spot. The 1st place team just acquired CC Sabathia, while another contending team just got Tim Lincecum, so I feel as though I need to keep up before our deadline on Monday.
Getting Latos would mean among him, Felix, and Kershaw, I'd have three of the best young pitchers in baseball right now, in addition to a boost in offense that I'd need for the playoffs. Losing Morrison would mean not having a potentially elite level outfielder in the future. Thoughts? WHIR!
My team:
C Jarrod Saltalamacchia 1B Adrian Gonzalez 2B Kelly Johnson 3B Jose Bautista SS Jimmy Rollins MI Jesus Guzman CI Pablo Sandoval LF Josh Hamilton CF Andrew McCutchen RF Hunter Pence OF Shane Victorino OF J.D. Martinez Ut Logan Morrison Bn Eric Thames DL Brian McCann DL Zack Cozart DL Stephen Drew
SP Clayton Kershaw SP Felix Hernandez SP Cliff Lee SP Daniel Hudson RP Heath Bell RP Joakim Soria RP Neftali Feliz P Jonny Venters P Sergio Romo P Jeff Niemann Bn Matt Garza Bn Max Scherzer Bn Ricky Nolasco Bn Trevor Cahill Bn Ryan Vogelson
I say Do It. Flags fly forever. Your concern should be the next seven weeks, not the next seven years. In a 10-team league that is shallow like yours, it appears that it would be easy to make up any future ground you lose by trading Morrison. The upgrade to your pitching staff will help, as well.
So are you receiving both Mat Latos and David Ortiz? Or do you have to choose one of them? If I understand it correctly you have to choose one or the other.
And if that's the case, I think you have a good enough pitching staff. So I would go for Ortiz, he would plug straight into your UTIL and make your offense elite.

If you haven't already accepted, I suggest taking a moment to do so right now, while the offer is still on the table. Flags fly forever, and it looks like you have a legitimate chance to win this year. Logan has potential, but your future is now and in a ten team league you should be able to find a decent replacement in the future.
Pull the trigger. Morrison is struggling and might be for the rest of the year. Poppy will light it up fighting for playoffs and Latos is finally turning it around and looks elite again.
