Postby FrostbiteFalls » Thu Aug 11, 2011 8:08 pm

I've been offered two trades for J Heyward

Keeper league, we use 5 SP and 5 OF and two catchers

Here's the offers:

His Beckett and Jesus Montero for my Heyward

or

His Greinke and BJ Upton for my Heyward

My SP

Beachy, Gallardo, G. Gonzales, Ian Kennedy, Wandy Rodriquez amd J. Zimmerman

My OF
Cuddyer, Pence, Markakis,Heyward,Victorino, Thames, Francoeur and Boesch

My Catchers
Mauer, C. Santana, with Mauer eligible at !B or CI I could use Montero at catcher

Which trade do you go for, if any?

Oh my goodness, the Greinke/Upton deal by far.

Upton will help you with steals so that Victorino doesn't have to work so hard. You have a good base of outfielders who can help with Upton's average issues. Greinke had an off year but is probably worth more of a gamble given his previous injury than the older Beckett. Montero would be great to have in a 2 catcher league, but your catchers are already fine.
