12 team 5x5 roto...keep any 10 players indefinitely...

To improve my 10 keepers....Should I trade away Nelson Cruz, Jhonny Peralta, and Eric Hosmer for Jose Bautista and Stephen Strasburg?

note: I am in first place this year with 101 pts and have a comfortable lead

I think you are giving up too much in this trade. You should be getting at least 1 more piece in return.

I agree with the first two replies, you are giving up too much here. Cruz is legit and the sky is the limit for Hosmer. Plus, they are younger than Bautista and you can keep them as long as you want. On top of that, don't forget that Bautista hasn't been this Bautista for most of his career to this point. While I'm not saying he's a fluke, I think there is more risk with him than there would be with most of the other 1st or 2nd round bats.

I also think I would want to see more out of Strasburg before I would do this deal. It would take a Lincecum/Hamels type pitcher for me to get interested if I were in your shoes.

Yes, easily.
Bautista is a top 10 player, and a upgrade over Cruz.
Hosmer is nice, but SS has top 5 pitcher potential.

Definitely do that deal. Bautista has been the best player in baseball the last 2 years, and will probably be a top 5 pick next year. Strasburg is just icing on the cake.
