If I were to package both Ryan Zimmerman and Tommy Hanson for Longoria, would it be enough or would it be too much?
Thanks and leave a link.
my team (12 teams H2H, keep 4 per year, 5x5) C - Aliva 1B - M Cabrera 2B - Prado SS - Tulo 3B - Zimmerman OF - Berkman OF - JUpton OF - Morse U - A Gordon U - S Victorino Bench - Ackley DL - S. Choo
otherwise, I would be looking at keeping Tulo/Upton/Cabrera and then I am not sure (Zimmerman, Hanson, Cain, Kennedy, Victorino)...not really sure who the 4th would be...
Think Longoria is a upgrade over Zimmerman? Am I paying too much?
After re-thinking it, I do believe you are giving up too much. I do feel Longoria is an upgrade over Zimmerman, but not a big enough upgrade to warrant trading Hanson as well. You should be able to give him Zimmerman and a middle-tier SP for Longoria. Or just hold on to Zimmerman since he has been heating up lately.
I would say do it. Longo is a huge upgrade from Zimm. You would have arguable the top player at 3 infield spots with your 4 keepers. Those 3 would be your keepers for years and years to come.

I am not too sure that Longo is a huge upgrade IMO. A small upgrade for sure, but no enough to warrant giving up a top 20 pitcher.
to me the important factors here are which team(s) are making the playoffs and would Hanson be his 4th keeper. If he's not making the playoffs and has a similar 4th keeper then he's probably not going to go for it. If he is in the playoffs and could use another arm then your chances are somewhat better. In general tho, Longoria owners are stubborn to move him, doubly tough now with his recent hot streak. Zimm's inability to play a full season leads me to believe this will be a very tough trade for the other owner to accept even if he's in the playoffs
