Roy Oswalt in a Dynasty League

I've been trying to move Oswalt in a Dynasty League that's a H2H 20 team league that counts OPS and Holds. My question really is what his perceived value is and if Ricky Nolasco and Johnny Giavotella are enough in return. For a guy born the same year as Halladay, he seems to be about 5 years his senior and I'd rather bail on him sooner than later if he's done. It's just a delicate balancing act obviously of trading him for some decent value without waiting so long that he's worthless.

The Nolasco and Giavotella trade is on the table right now.

One thing I've noticed in our league jim is that older injury prone guys are practically worthless. When I came into the league, I tried to move them but had no luck. Ended up doing a semi youth movement by simply dropping guys for upcoming talent. If you can land Nolasco and Gia, I'd likely push the accept button.

I like this trade for you if you dont think you can get any more value for him. Better to get something then nothing.

If what RedHopeful said is true, the move to get some younger players is probably a good idea. Oswalt could still get the Wins and might have a few decent Derek Lowe-like seasons left, but I recall him saying once that his back issues could end his career. Since Nolasco is a solid enough arm and the Royals 2B has some talent worth speculating on, I think it would be smart to make the move.

Another reason to get rid of Oswalt now, is he might retire after this season. I remember him speaking about it at the beginning of this year. How likely it is, only Roy knows, but I was thinking about trading FOR Oswalt to have for next year, since my team is out of it, but thought twice when I remembered his thought about retiring.
