My Wandy, J.Sanchez & Santos for Mariano & Ogando? WHIR

I don't trust Wandy and I need to clear roster space for Arod's return. Deal Wandy, Jonathan Sanchez and Sergio Santos for Mariano Rivera and Alexi Ogando?

A lot depends on needs and format but on the surface, I don't love it. While you don't trust Wandy, I don't trust Ogando...still. Wandy's a very solid SP in my eyes and Sanchez has that great K-potential. Yes, Mariano's a nice upgrade but how big of an issue is that for you?...just asking.

I've had a bad ers for several weeks now. Same with the whip. Throwmin the losses, the relatively few saves (I lost saves last week 2-1) and the fact that a rod is coming back so I have to drop someone or clear roster space. With Ogando I just figured Texas is a good offense and he has a forgiving schedule during fantasy playoffs. But do u think Wandy and sanchez will turn it around? It seems like they get lit up for 5 runs a lot whereas Ogando has been steady the last month.

I'm not saying you couldn't do it. Mariano's a big upgrade over Santos. I just like Wandy/Sanchez better than Ogando in "big picture" terms. But, you do have the depth to pull this off. Mariano for Wandy sounds good...Sanchez for Ogando, based on this season, could be worse obviously...just "throw-out" Santos since he's the odd-man out with Mariano anyway and the deal can work.

Haha true they were ... And of course, I benched Wandy seeing as he had a 6.50+ era vs Arizona and is terrible at chase field. This is why he bugs me... Sanchez too. These Jekyll and Hyde types that can ruin your week in h2h.

You think I would do well in saves week to week with Mariano and walden? They both seem to get many opps. If I did this deal, I'd have 9 SP and 2 RP.

Yeah, you'd be putting all your eggs in 2 baskets for saves...but...if they stay healthy, you should be fine.

Again, I'm still not a huge believer in Ogando but he's been good. Meanwhile, I've long liked Wandy and Sanchez but they've been inconsistent, for sure. It's a tough one man.

Bottom line...follow your gut man!

I think I may do it ... Locking down my saves situation a bit and clearing roster room while adding what I hopemwill be a steady Ogando. I guess the biggest point to br made isnthat there is no one else in the league who would give me remotely close to this with the way Wandy and Sanchez have been.
