Hey all. In a ten team, head-to-head league. I'm sitting in last place, and am starting to think about next year. It's the first year of our keeper league, we are keeping four this year, five next year, and then six the third year, before we reset.
C - Geovanny Soto 1B - Gaby Sanchez 2B - Dustin Ackley 3B - Ryan Zimmerman SS - Jimmy Rollins OF - Jacoby Ellsbury OF - Mike Stanton OF - Michael Morse UT - David Ortiz
SP - Tim Lincecum SP - Jon Lester SP - Tommy Hanson SP - Chris Carpenter SP - Ryan Dempster SP - Kyle Lohse SP - Ricky Romero SP - Trevor Cahill SP - Bartolo Colon SP - Derek Holland RP - Fernando Salas RP - Neftali Feliz
So, who do I keep? I have Lincecum for sure. I'm thinking Ellsbury for sure. Zimmerman has been slowed by injury but is a top knotch third baseman. Stanton has unlimited potential. Morse is still young and hitting the ball. Then I have very solid young pitching with Lester, Hanson and Romero.
I agree with MadDog, I'd try to package and trade up for better keepers.
Ellsbury and Stanton are really the only guys on offense I'd consider keeping, if you only get 4. I'd try and move Morse, Zimmerman, etc. to a contending team that is desperate for extra bats, see what you can do.
In terms of pitching, I think I'd want Hanson more than Lester, so I'd have 3/4 same with the previous poster.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

Thanks guy! I have been working on a Joey Votto trade for a couple weeks now, and this kid just won't budge. I am looking to get another surefire offensive keeper, because I will be at the top of our draft next year, and there will be ample pitching available.
