Sorting through the OF options

Postby mm92280 » Sat Aug 06, 2011 3:44 pm

Its that time of year where a lot of the younger guys are coming up and getting playing time and things are getting a bit muddy. I'm in a 20-teamer and trying to sort through the value of a lot of outfielders in my league. So, in a 20 teamer that counts AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB and OPS, how would you rank these guys for the remainder of this season?

Thames (Snider sent down last week, its his job to lose now)
Duda (with Beltran gone he will play and play regularly)
Alonso (I think the Reds will give him a look down the stretch)
Bourjos (Trout sent back to Minors, he should give you some SB's)
Martinez (its the Astros, too many kids up now, they will be trying everyone out)

This is based on needs:
Bourjos if you need SB/runs
Thames if you want HR/RBI
Yonder Alonso if you want a keeper (best long term potential).
Duda makes sense only for his multi-position eligibility. He has the potential to put up 20-25 homers in a full season.
