It's a 16 team H2H dynasty league in which we keep 16 players every year. The league has been going on for 6 years. I have no shot for the playoffs this year, mostly due to injuries. So I wanted to take this time to sort of revamp my team and get younger, as this league is not ending anytime soon. What are your thoughts on this trade? I think it might be a little too much, but I'm not sure. I know Heyward and Stras are still question marks, but I'm pretty confident they will pan out. All speculation though.
I give:
Beltre Quentin Cliff Lee Scott Baker (Probably wouldn't be keeping him if I don't trade him).
I get:
Ryan Zimmerman Jason Heyward Stephen Strasburg

I wouldn't do this trade if I were you. You're giving up the best 2 players in the deal (Beltre and Lee). I'm not really sold on Zimm (I need more then 1 good season sorry) and Heyward is still waaay unproven. Stras is the only player I really like that would be coming back to you. If it were my team, I would hold out for something better.
No way do u make this trade..my take? Strasburg may be another mark prior.May never see the field again and even if he does you put your future on a guy who is on the dl with tommy john surgery? bad move !!.Heyward may be the next best thing an may not. Plenty of players come up have a nice rookie year,a off sophmore year then ups an downs the rest of their career ..Hunter pence for example was the next best thing an has been on an off every year so dont bank on heyward being a superstar, especially with an obvious bad shoulder. Lee has another 3-4 years of being a top pitcher an beltre still isnt that old and plays at one of the best hr parks. Beltre stock down cause he is out but dont sell him short, very good player..Stand Pat !!

I think I would have to stay with Beltre and Lee. Much safer bets. Heyward just hasn't put it together, and Zimm is good, but injuries have kept him from reaching full potential.
I understand trying to get younger, but Heyward and Stras are both concerning. Zimmerman is too to some, although I think he'll be very nice next year. Quentin for Heyward would be okay, and Beltre for Zimm I would be on board for. But, Lee for Stras is a terrible trade-off, plus Baker hits the bricks too.
Given you're giving up an ace, and 4 players to receive 3, I just can't see the sense in saying go for it.
I like the idea, but that trade isn't the right fit.

1 good season? You better look again. 4 years of at least 20 hrs. 2 years of at least 100 rbis. His career average, oba, slugging % beats Beltre. This is a dynasty. Beltre and Lee are good, but past 30. Zimmerman is probably the 2nd best 3B to have in a keeper. Strasburg should be fine. Many guys have come back from TJ surgery and done well. Plus he has age, and not many inings on his arm. I would see if you could take Quentin out of the deal? But i still make this deal. you upgrade at 3B, get probably a future top 10 SP back, and give Heyward some time. Look at his age.

Or he could be another Tim Lincecum. Jordan Zimmerman is looking just fine coming off TJ surgery. Heyward is still only 22, cut him some slack. Guys that age are in A ball.

I don't consider 20 HRs a good season for someone rated as high as Zimm (also he only broke 100 RBIs 1 time). He should be at least flirting with 30/100 every season to garner that much respect.
