UPDATE!!! PLEASE SEE REVISED DEAL DOWN THE THREAD. THANKS
I am fighting it out for the stretch run......15 team keeper league, Auction Style, Fantasy Points. And is a Money League. where we get rewarding at seasons end. Currently am in 3rd place. 40points out of 2nd, and 200 points out of 1st.
This is on the table, do I pursue it? I MOVE OUT: OF - B.Boesch $3 (1) (2 years keeper left @ that value) SP - M.Latos $1 (2) (1 year keeper @ that value) SP - U.Jimenez $41 (1) (salary dump for me, to make the deal work) RP - D.Bard $1 (1) (2 years keeper left @ that value) TOTAL = $45
FOR
I GET BACK: OF - N.Swisher $1 (3) (free agent at seasons end) SP - Kershaw OR Sabathia both are @ $37 (1) (have 2 years left at that salary, but probably will not be keeping at that salary) RP - H.Street OR L.Nunez $1 (3) (free agents @ seasons end) TOTAL = $39
Random Notes: -I am basically losing 3 potential keepers in Boesch/Latos/Bard -I believe Bard will be the Sox closer next season, and have been stashing him all season for a nice cheap $1 keeper. -I am a little worried at Jimenez switch to the "Junior" circuit. and how he will react. -Who would you ask for in return, Sabathia or Kershaw from here on out, who gets me the most points, -Who would you want from here on out, Nunez (struggling of late) or Street (not getting any save chances)

I would personally take Sabathia because he has the Yankees offense behind him. Kershaw is nice tho because hes a lot younger. I guess its a toss up.
I would also take Huston Street back. I have never been a big fan of Leo Nunez and Street seems a lot safer to me. Perhaps you can pick up Rex Brothers.

I like the deal. I think you should take Kershaw he has been a tank lately and is near unhittable and he is very young. I would take Nunez too but Street is fine too not much of a difference to me
Keep C Napoli 1 Butler/Davis/Hosmer/Dunn 2 Young/Utley/Zobrist 3 Moustakas SS Bonifacio/E Cabrera OF Grandy/Choo/Reddick/Kubel SP Anderson/C Lee/Oswalt Haren/Moore/A Sanchez RP Soriano/Myers/Johnson/Aceves/Parnell
He is willing to ship me SS-J.Reyes, if I switch Boesch $3 to Gordon $1, I will be over the cap in starting salary ($305), but will have to juggle my roster around. throughout the rest of the season just to stay under it, but it gives me depth..... He is obviously rebuilding and trying to acquire cheap keepers. which I am sending him.
I MOVE OUT: OF - A.Gordon $1 (1) (2 years keeper left @ that value) 3B - D.Freese $4 (2) (1 year keeper left @ that value) 2B/SS - A.Casilla $2 (1) (fills in for him down the stretch, for Reyes) SP - M.Latos $1 (2) (1 year keeper @ that value) SP - U.Jimenez $41 (1) (salary dump for me, to make the deal work) TOTAL = $49

I GET BACK: OF - N.Swisher $1 (3) (free agent at seasons end) SS - J.Reyes $25 (1) (2 years keeper left @ that value) SP - CC.Sabathia $37 (1) (have 2 years left at that salary, but probably will not be keeping at that salary) RP - H.Street $1 (3) (free agents @ seasons end) TOTAL = $64
I am torn on losing so many keepers, being in 2nd place, and now about 150 points out, especially Gordon who seems to have come into his own this season. Reyes is still relatively on a good contract @ $25, so he can be kept again next year. Is this a no brainer of a deal?
MY STARTING ROSTER IF DEAL IS MADE: can't go over $305 starting roster salary C - V.Martinez $30 (3) C - J.Lucroy $2 (1) 1B - A.Gonzalez $33 (2)1B - E.Hosmer $8 (1) 2B - O.Hudson $1 (1)2B - B.Lawrie $1 (1) (will qualify @ 3B soon) SS - J.Reyes $25 (1)SS - S.Castro $8 (2) 3B - J.Bautista $1 (2) (can also play OF)3B - M.Young $22 (3) (can also play 1B/2B/DH) OF - A.McCutchen $20 (3)OF - B.Boesch $3 (1)OF - N.Swisher $1 (3)OF - J.Pierre $1 (3)OF - M.Prado $3 (3) (can also play 2B and 3B) DH - B.Butler $14 (2) (can also play 1B) P - C.C.Sabathia $37 (1)P - J.Beckett $37 (3)P - Y.Gallardo $39 (1)P - T.Hudson $3 (3)P - R.Vogelsong $3 (1)P - J.Vazquez $1 (1)P - J.Hanrahan $1 (1)P - H.Street $1 (3) TOTAL = $295 BENCH: (6 man bench) C - R.Hanigan $3 (1)2B/3B - S.Sizemore $1 (1)3B - P.Alvarez $5 (3)P - C.Luebke $1 (1)P - D.Bard $1 (1) P - R.Oswalt $15 (2) (will have to sit one of the big 3 in order to get him in the lineup for 2 start weeks?) DL: OF - A.Presley $3 (1)
I like it. Gordon at $1 is a great keeper, but he's far from a sure thing. I LOVE Reyes, and at $25 he's a nice keeper. You are definitely loading up for a stretch run with this deal.

I agree with this. If you can get Reyes by just swapping 2 young guys neither of which I think will be studs like Reyes at any point I would do it. These guys will be good players but nothing near Reyes

In terms of value for this season, the deal that you have on the table is a no-brainer. The future outlook is a bit trickier, however, but Reyes' contract is a pretty great value. I think I like this deal for you; you've managed to build up the cheap talent that you're giving up in this deal, so I kind of get the idea that you will be able to get some of it back later on.
Thanks for helping mine. I like the deal since it makes you stronger this year and you'll have some nice pieces for next year. Bard has great potential but is unproven still.
