Chris Carpenter Deal WHIR

Chris Carpenter is in his last keeper year on a team way out of the playoff picture. What is a good offer for him? See my team below, and note that I plan on keeping: Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Hanley Ramirez, Jacoby Ellsbury, Roy Halladay, and ONE of Wright/Pedroia OR King Felix. So I have guys who are attractive keepers. BUT I don't want to hamstring my offense too much, so a 2 for 1 would be ideal.

As for a trade, you need to give him a keeper for him to think it's worth it. If he likes A-Rod, go A-Rod and Wandy (or Beachy). You have Wright at 3B anyway in a strong lineup...while Carpenter definitely beats Wandy or Beachy (I pref. to trade Beachy, possible innings cap).

I would try a combo of Ackley, Bonifacio and Lawrie to start with. These guys are young and might tempt him if his keepers are pretty bad.
