Wright for Longoria? ALL HELP RETURNED

Postby kaiser » Fri Jul 29, 2011 4:46 pm

Please leave a link for help returned.

10-team keeper (keep four) H2H individual cats. Auction draft, $300 budget minus keepers.

I give David Wright and Nelson Cruz

I get Evan Longoria and Matt Harrison.

I don't plan to keep Cruz (at $37, I overpaid), but would be keep either Wright (at $33) or Longoria ($32). Harrison isn't really important to the deal.

Do I make the deal? Is Longoria enough of an upgrade from Wright to make the loss of Cruz for the rest of this season worth it? Wright's injury history has me concerned, but man, right now he is showing what he can be when hitting on all cylinders. Longoria's lack of production this year is worrisome.

My roster:

C Victor Martinez, Det C, DH
1B Joey Votto, Cin 1B
2B Michael Cuddyer, Min OF, 1B, 2B

Not concerned about Longoria myself.
.242 babip versus a career .309.
He's on pace for 28 hrs/100 rbis given 150 games played.

If you are out of it, i make the deal, since Evan is younger.
Although Cruz is a huge upgrade over Harrison, so you are in effect overpaying.
If you are in the race, no way i make this deal. You need Cruz to win now.

Yes, I'm in second overall, so I'm going to make the playoffs. I guess I'll pass, as tempting as it is to grab Longoria.

Thanks for the help, Hootie.
