I'm really hesitant to part with Tulo. I just love having an elite SS in a keeper. This is probably the best offer I've seen for him though. I'm still leaning towards no because my offense is pretty good as is and I feel like even by adding Joey Bats my offense would be hindered a lot by dropping from Tulo to Escobar/Bonifacio at SS. But I figured I'd see what the Cafe thought.

(I'm currently in a tight 3-team race for 1st place...doing great (10-12 pts) in all offensive categories except SBs (6). Pitching has been shaky but just acquired Felix this week so hoping that will give me a boost there.)

I would take this deal. Bautista is a huge upgrade over Jones and Escobar will provide you with the loss of steals.

Not sure what you mean. I'm not losing Adam Jones in this deal. And Escobar only has 3 SBs this year.

I agree with you here. I think your team is better off without the deal. FWIW I saw some mention Jones being the OF relegated to the bench if you got Bautista but I'm not so sure I wouldn't bench Ethier instead? In any event I see your lineup as stronger with Tulo Jones and Ethier starting than I do with Yunel Bautista and either Jones or Ethier.

Yeah, I'm leaning against it. Jones wouldn't be benched for me, it would probably be Ethier at first, and then Bonifacio if his hot streak ends. Truth be told, Ethier is on my bench right now anyway in favor of C-Lee, who has been playing great lately.

I just hate having to scramble for MIs and since this is a keeper, I'd just feel so much better about having Tulo locked up for the future. I mean, if I knew this trade would guarantee victory this year then fine, but I don't know if it really improves my chances THAT much, and I'd be much more comfortable having Tulo as my keeper for next year. But more opinions won't hurt, if anyone else would like to chime in.

I keep Tulo.
Best SS for one, and is younger then Bautista, so you get more prime years from him.
