I got offered AJ Burnett for Hosmer...

Lind is my first basemen. Im using Hosmer as a DH. I have CARGO on the bench on the DL. I would replace Hosmer with Maybin or Boesch from my bench.

Burnett would be added to my rotation of CC, Lester, CJ Wilson, Brandon Morrow, Matt Latos, Edwin Jackson, Oswalt.

I do like Burnetts Playoff schedule for my fantasy Playoffs...... and I feel like I have good enough replacements. Should I pull trigger??

16 teams, big league, Im in first place in my division

only two keepers.... probably used on Bautista or Cargo or Upton

I agree but no one trades in this league and there are like 8 jerks that veto EVERYTHING. If he was going to be a Keeper... I would ask for more....

playoff schedule aside, its not a great return 4 Hosmer. Late last year Boesch had fizzled to waiver material and Hosmer is a pretty big upgrade over Maybin

Nope! Gotta get a better SP than Burnett. Seek out a team who is out of the running and/or needs a keeper. I would rather do the waiver wire shuffle than do this trade.

All good and valid points. I have sent out so many trades and got nothing back for Hosmer. Maybe its because the league is deep at first base, maybe its because no one likes that Im in first place, maybe its because there are only two keepers per team and Hosmer isnt quite keeper worthy in this league. I dont think too many guys in this league know what they are doing.

Look at Hosmer's numbers already. His numbers are really good and he's in his early 20s. I wouldn't be surprised if Hosmer will be a top 5 1B in the next few years. I am in a keeper league (5pl) and I'm saving Hosmer over Konerko. Bottom line is that AJ is a mediocre pitcher (coming from a Yankee fan) and Hosmer a really good player with awesome keeper potential. Skip the trade. Hosmer might actually be better than CARGO for the remainder of the year.
