Wilson and Bonifacio for Mauer and Niese? WHIR

I have been offered Mauer and Jonathan Niese for CJ Wilson and Bonifacio. I need help at catching since losing Posey. I obviously downgrade in pitching here but get a nice upgrade in Mauer. What yall think? 16 teams, points based, 30 man roster, so waivers is very thin. If I made the trade my 4 keepers would be Mauer, Sabathia, Posey, and Miggy.

I play Roto not points, but I would do this deal. Not a bad keeper list then either.

Well, you wouldn't be keeping Wilson or Bonifacio, and you'd be adding a potential keeper (Mauer).

So, yes, you accept that trade.

Plus, Niese isn't nearly as big a downgrade from Wilson as you're probably thinking. He's the Mets ace right now, and I think he has good value, especially in a 16-team league.

That is what was keeping me from pulling the trigger, I was overthinking downgrading at pitching

I would pull the trigger on this deal no doubt. Like everyone else is saying Mauer's a nice keeper, and that's a pretty good price for him. Niese isn't a bad acquisition either.

Agreed, you should pull the trigger. Good hitting is always harder to come by than good pitching.

DO the deal and don't look back.
