Pedro Alvarez is a FA, should I pick him up? WHIR 100%

I haven't been able to get a trade through, so I am now looking at the FA for a backup 3B while Beltre is down. Pedro Alvarez is on the FA, and Casey McGehee is on the WW. Should I give Pedro the shot? He has looked great since being recalled and he had a great second half last year, so if he can produce those numbers again it would be a great pickup.

I would have to drop either Carlos Pena, Travis Snider (would be a 15th round pick next year), or Bud Norris.

I am leaning towards dropping Pena since it's a keeper league and I could keep Snider as a 15th round pick next year.

I think Alvarez is the add to make.

And for keeper purposes, I guess I don't mind dropping Pena too much. If you think Snider as a 15th could be worth it, then by all means, hold onto him.

Pedro would be my add. Aren't the Brewers somewhat in the market for an upgrade at 3B? This may affect McGehee. I'd even entertain Encarnacion's hot streak before McGehee.

If you're planning on keeping Snider, then I'd drop Pena for Alvarez.

In a keeper league, Alvarez is the player to add. I'm assuming he wouldn't be expensive to keep and if he breaks out in the second half like he did last year it will be well worth it. I'd drop Pena for him.
