Bench Utley or Walker for Desmond? (WHIR!)

12 team H2H, Yahoo standard scoring.

So I grabbed Desmond Jennings yesterday morning, looked great again last night, playing with trying to get him more PT on my squad. Both Utley and Neil Walker have awful matchups tonight... wondering if I move some players around to bench one of them and put in Jennings? Roster is below (with Walker benched).

C - McCann
1B - Pujols
2B - Utley
3B - A. Gordon
SS - Rollins
OF - Zobrist, Hart, L. Morrison
Util - D. Jennings
Bench- N. Walker

Walker's only hitton .100 with 1 run in the last 7 days, and he faces Hanson (who has been great in night games). However, Hanson has been falling apart lately, with 9ER over his last two starts... and Walker can breakout at any time. Utley is up against Lincecum, who has dominated him in the past. That said, Utley has been hot lately, and he's Utley.

Obviously either are better players than Hart or Lomo, but the matchups for my OF/Util are pretty nice.

Thoughts? Who would you bench? Has Desmond earned the start against a right hander like McCarthy? Leave a link and I'll reply in kind.

I think the call is easy:

Bench walker....and keep him benched until he breaks out (or until Jennings cools off).

You are right.....walker can break out at "any time." And "any time" could be tonight.....but it is just as likely that it wont be for another week or two.

Right now you have a hot hand in Jennings....run with it.......and keep the cold hand (walker) on the bench until he earns his way back into the lineup.

You can drive yourself crazy paying too much attention to the pitching matchups. When I have 1 hot guy and one cold guy.....I always just play the hot hand. I only sweat over the matchups when I am trying to decide between 2 players that are both hitting well.....or both in a slump.

Benched him... break-out achieved on his first at bar, 1-0-1-0 after his first at bat.
