He is being called up by the D-Backs.

Another product of the PCL or does he have some potential? A 25 year old who is no longer a "prospect" or a late bloomer? Was I wasting my time stashing him in my keeper league or was it a smart move?
When it comes to exaggerating, I always give 110%.

If he plays well at all though he has a full time job. Parra isn't cutting it and Cowgill could very well turn this into a full time job. I think he's a good pick up right now. He can hit and I'd actually pick him up over Yonder Alonso in a redraft league. Dusty loves his vets so Cowgill will get much more playing time than Yonder if he play's even just decent.

Parra isn't cutting it? He is one of the best defensive OF in the game and vs righties he has an OPS of .800. Cowgill is pretty much Parra except he has the weak side of the platoon.

every time I see this guys name I want to read Cowgirl.

I don't really believe age should be an factor. should Cowgill be penalized because he went to college? he was drafted in 2008 at the age of 22.
I'm not sure if he has had any injuries, but it doesn't look like he played a full season in 09.
08- 20 games at A-, 08- 50 games at A, 09- 61 games at A+, 10- 131 games at AA, 11- 98 games at AAA.

his power in the majors likely wont translate into the power his AAA numbers might suggest, but he still has moderate power. the steals should still be there.

I think how well he does will depend on how much playing time he is given. if he's going to simply platoon with Parra then I wouldn't expect much, but if he can be given LF all to his own he has good potential.

I'm more excited by the fact Lucas Duda will likely see close to fulltime status once Beltran departs. ;-7
