WHIR - Youk for Holliday & Santana for Ichiro?

What do you guys think about these two trades?

Here's my squad (10-teamer non-keeper):
C - Brian McCann
1B - Mark Teixiera
2B - Robinson Cano
3B - Evan Longoria
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Jay Bruce, Shane Victorino, Jason Heyward
UTIL - Kevin Youkilis
BN - Carlos Santana, Colby Rasmus
SP - Clayton Kershaw, Cole Hamels
RP - Chris Perez, Ryan Madson
P - David Hernandez, Jonny Venters, Max Scherzer, Brandon Morrow
BN - Scott Baker, Hiroki Kuroda, Freddy Garcia
DL - JJ Putz

I like the first trade but I would still need to then trade Santana (don't need two top catchers), like maybe package him with Heyward for a bat or a pitcher, so I'm not feeling the second trade as much. Thoughts on what to do with Santana after the first trade? Will help in return.

Who are some pitchers you think I might be able to get for Santana?

Santana for a SP seems to make the most sense. I like Youk a lot, as well as Holliday. Go whichever way based on what your team needs more.

While the second trade is okay, your pitching could use a solid arm. I might suggest Latos/Chacin who have been down recently but could make a rebound. Heck, maybe even try for a Marcum/Romero type?

I apologize for the lack of detail in the catcher trade, as I honestly never see catchers valued the same way twice. I guess it depends on your league and who needs a catcher and how badly they need one.

I like going for a SP like Scherzer, Chacin or Romero. I personally like Scherzer the best.

No to Santana trade doesn't make sense.

I'd go after Hanson for Santana. He's been shaky lately try to point out the Braves recent struggles.

I agree with everyone, first deal is great, second doesn't help your team. Getting any of the pitchers mentioned would be a good deal, with Hanson being a steal.

Yeah I agree with bluejays, Hanson? I would be ecstatic if I could get him for just Santana. I highly doubt it, partly because I'm personally very high on him, but it would be a steal either way. But I do have an idea of what kind of pitcher I could target now, so thanks guys!
