Need help making a deal to get a top pitcher. WHIR

Postby BlueJaysFan » Sat Jul 23, 2011 4:24 pm

My team has the best batters, but my pitching is near the bottom, (I had the same problem in every other league). I was offered Doc for Braun. I countered with Doc and CJ. Wilson for Rasmus and Braun. Now he sent Alfonso Soriano and Doc for Braun. I would prefer another pitcher instead of Soriano. He said he'll give me an ace if I give him Braun, Puljos, or Gonzo. I would prefer to keep all 3, but I don't see any other way to get an ace, (I also tried Youkilis for Hamles and he rejected).

It's a standard H2H league, I'm 3rd. I was first for a while, but my lack of pitching has brought me down. It's a playoff league so I will also need 1 or two aces if I'm going to have a shot at winning.

MY TEAM:

C Montero
1st Puljos
2nd Uggla
3rd Youkilis
SS Rollins
CI Kendrick
MI Bonifacio
IF Lind
OF Braun
OF Victorino
OF Beltran
UTIL Gonzo

BN Butler
BN Hafner

SP Marcum
SP Garcia
SP Nolasco
SP Hellickson
SP Collmenter

Bn Gee
DL Strasburg

HIS TEAM:

C Avila
1st Pena
2nd Roberts
3rd Reynolds
SS Castro
CI Trumbo
MI Pedroia
IF J. Weeks
OF Soriano
OF Francoeur
OF Crawford
UTIL C. Young
UTIL Jennings
BN Wigginton
BN Rios
BN Desmond
DL Guerrero

SP Wilson
SP Hamles
SP Vazquez
SP Lowe
SP Baker
RP Nunez
RP Salas
RP Moscoso
BN Jurrjens
BN Cahill
BN Price
BN Colon

See if he will take Braun and Rasmus for Doc and Baker. Or Braun and Rasmus for Doc and Cahill.
I think both of these deals would be a great for you.

I'll try the Cahill deal, if I decide to do it. Is Braun the player I should deal? Or 1 of Gonzo or Puljos?

Should I try wilson and Lowe for Lind and Joyce (or any another bench player)? I Would prefer to keep Gonzo, Braun and Puljos. I think there is a chance he does this deal, but I would proabably have to make one more after.

I just added Gee for AJ. Do you think that if I manage to do the 2nd deal my pitching will be good enough?

Is the second deal Wilson and Lowe for Lind and Joyce?
And also is Gonzo = Adrian Gonzalez or Carlos Gonzalez? Or even Alex Gonzalez?

Ya thats the 2nd deal. And it's Adrian Gonzalez. I decided to send both deals, and told him to accept one. I think both Deals will help me. I wanted to keep Braun, but I think it's worth giving him up to get Doc.

I like the second deal more if you can get someone like Baker or Cahill instead of Lowe.
But both deals will help you I believe.

He just accept the Doc deal. I also liked the 2nd deal a little more, but I got the best pitcher in the game. Plus, Cahill is a nice young arm too, although his last outing was one he wishes to forget, he allowed 10 earned run, yikes! hopefully it was a one time thing.
