1. Daily Newspapers
2. Wrist watches. Unless they get combined with phones. A sort of wrist phone might be cool.

To add to my own list of things I am ambivalent about but expect to disappear: cursive handwriting.

and yet you can't figure out why socialism fails.
Sure, it looks good on paper, but in practice, it fails. Every, single, time! Its human nature.

Its failing in america too. the laziest of all society's.

imagine that. :-)

1. Shaking hands.
I'm not a germaphobe, but I've just met you - why the f___ would I want to touch your hand????

i prefer a good firm hand shake. Its odd but it builds a small bond right away. Its hard to explain why, but it does.

adding to the list ..

10. Spandex, above size six
11. Pants hanging below your butt.
12. "Made in China"

In America, socialism fails and capitalism fails for the same reason. Any form of government works if the people unite and any form of government fails if the people can't get their asses together and push change. I was reading the Far Side a few days ago and stumbled upon this:

That big fish can be a politician or a CEO, either way it's eating up the smaller individuals. But in today's society, the school of smaller fish is missing. We are all lazy douchebags that let corporations destroy the economy/environment and politicians play with our lives and livelihoods to make themselves look awesome.

Bah, the next time someone hands me a note in completely illegible cursive I'm going to throw it back in their face and tell them "I can't read this."
