Will Venable... WHIR

Postby billycent » Fri Jul 22, 2011 1:41 am

I like this guy... given some regular playing time I think he could be a real fantasy factor. He certainly seems to be far better than Denorfia. I've played him off waivers a few times this season and haven't been disappointed and now I'm thinking about dropping Wiggs and just holding onto him and seeing what happens bc wigginton is damn near useless now w/all the call-ups. What does anybody else think? Leave a link and I got u back.

Venable is a one category player and won't help you anywhere but in the steals department. It looks like you're pretty set in that department with Rollins, so really Venable would do nothing but hurt you in AVG--he's mostly a fringe-type player anyways. I'd go for someone else if they're available, or hope that Wigginton goes on one of his hot streaks.

Help with mine?

He has some potential but really will be more of a bench option that a starter. Worth a flyer if you have the room on the bench to keep him but I would prefer someone who could give me more flexibility.

I'd take Venable over Dunn at this point, is that all that is available?
