Grienke for JJ WHIR

If you could get Grienke for Josh Johnson at this point would you?

JJ is a beast when healthy but he's had endless issues now for years and just can't seem to put together a full season. Grienke started the year awfully but seems to be turning it around.

Am I selling JJ short? I'm not sure if I'd even keep him next year as I don't think I have room in my 8 keepers.

Right now I'm in 1st, up 4 games so playing to win it this season.

I'd definitely do that deal--Johnson's an injury risk and Greinke's ERA/WHIP will balance out soon given the fact that he's been missing bats enough to be effective.

You are giving up a great keeper pick, since I think you should definitely keep him if you dont end up doing the trade. But if you are playing to win this year, make the trade. Greinke will definitely be more effective the ROS since they dont even know when Johnson will pitch again this year if he even does at all.

I would make that deal as well. Who knows when JJ will even be back this year and at least Grienke has a chance to turn things around.

I think you do this deal. With the doubts of even keeping Johnson next year creeping in, you might as well get Grienke for this year.

JJ's the better pitcher, but I agree that it's a smart deal if you're trying to win this year. JJ's definitely a sketchy keeper pick so I say go for it.
