Missed out on Ackley, drop Uggla for ...?

Their MiLB careers are similar though on the surface Kipnis has better stats in the minors so far. I missed out on Ackley and have been trolling out N.Walker with Uggla of late. Wondering if you would drop Uggla (day-to-day now with calf strain) for Jason Kipnis who was just recalled today?

I wouldnt drop Uggla, before his injury he was showing signs of getting back to his old self. And I fully expect him to continue with that once he starts again. Plus there are reports that the injury isn't serious at all.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you see a difference in Uggla's AB's? I think prior to the break he was certainly expanding the strike zone more than usual and was actually starting to reel that back in some just before the break and up to this point as well.

I agree. You should not be dropping Uggla. He definitely seems to have snapped out of it and could put together a nice 2nd half.

Mine?

+3. Don't drop Uggla just yet, especially with the next few weeks looming.

Only way I would grab Kipnis over Uggla is in a keeper league and you're out of contention.

Yeah Uggla's plate approach has drastically improved imo, he wasn't swinging at every first pitch and seemed like he was seeing balls better. So hopefully this injury won't be a set-back and he will continue his hot hitting.

If you've held onto Uggla this long I don't see why you'd drop him, especially since he's got a long hitting streak going and seems to have found his power stroke again.
