Tigers manager Jim Leyland is one of the most stubborn? managers for putting in replacement players into the same spot in the batting order of the regular he is replacing regardless of talent/ability. same thing with new Tigers 3B Wilson Betemit. he takes over for Inge, and gets Inge's most recent spot in the batting order, 9th.
I was hoping Betemit would be higher.

for once i cant argue with Jim here...where else would you bat Betemit in that lineup?

right now I would for sure have him above Avila, who is struggling lately. might even think about hitting him ahead of Guillen. especially against RH pitcher with the splits Betemit currently has- .301/.360/.466/.826/.

Stephen Drew breaking his ankle was just bad luck, and a bad break, literally. someone can just say to Drew, sorry about your damn luck.

Unrelated, anybody have the juevos rancheros to start Cory Lube-key tomorrow @PHI?? Chances at a W are severely limited, but we could see a 2 - 0 final score. I think I may run him out there.

I'm also stongly considering it. Hell the Pads are hot while the Phils have been hit or miss.
