Question for ESPN/Lincecum owners or commishes

Postby Pablo975 » Wed Jul 20, 2011 5:03 pm

Owner in my league is asking for a roster adjustment to activate Lincecum off his bench. He asked at like, the bottom of the first of the game. Said he didn't get to set his roster in time.

So, did ESPN have Lincecum listed with the "PP" designation the last day or two?

If so, I'm going to deny the move. His fault for not tending to his team.

If this was a bumped up start, or he wasn't listed as starting or something, I will probably allow the move.

Thoughts?

Not sure about the PP, but his player info on ESPN had his next start listed as Wed July 20th and still does at the moment, so I would figure that it was there. At the least, the owner should be proactive and check..

The other day Halladay didn't have the PP next to his name prior to Monday, I know this because I set my pitching Sunday night in the ESPN league I have him in. His player info had a blurb about his start being Monday..fair warning.

I'm having a similar problem but the owner said he did set the roster and it involved Kershaw. His roster has changes from Sunday to Tuesday but stayed the same on Wednesday and today as it was on Tuesday. Kershaw was on the bench for all 4 days. He's claiming it's a glitch but I think he screwed up and trying to cover his butt since he didn't let me know about it until 3:57 PM EST.

If an Owner does not set his lineup, it is his fault. Forget about the PP. There are dozens of places on the net to find out who is pitching. == As far as there being a glitch in the ESPN system when a roster is set, no way. Funny it only happened to that one guy.

I completely agree. A team's lineup is ultimately its owner's responsibility. The only valid "site glitch" complaint is if it goes down, and even that should be pretty extraordinary.

Agreed about not fixing it.

I think it was 2007 that ESPN had some real issues start of season..among other things I placed a waiver claim and it didn't process the transaction even 24 hours after the player was to come off waivers.
