Give up on Dunn?

5×5 mixed 10-team Roto league. Would you keep Dunn and hope he gets going or pickup Derrek Lee? Or how about Thames or Belt instead of Lee? I'm in 3rd place in my league, but could use a boost in all hitting cats.

If you need offensive help and cant afford to keep Dunn on your bench, then I would cut him. And I like Thames the most out of the FA options you listed, but go for Belt if you have no one else at 1B.

Dropping Dunn is definitely ok at this point.

Can I see a more extensive list of FA options for hitters? Until then, I think i'll second the Thames pickup.

Other FA available right now that I think can help (with reasons I left them off original list) include:
- J Weeks (spped, BA but lacks power so far)
- Bernadina (BA fading)
- Presley (will lose time to Tabata?)
- Maybin (don't like the BA and playing in PetCo)


ANd yes - I did draft Dunn. It was a good pick at the time and was supposed to provide power (of course). Probably should have cut him awhile ago, but why not wait? He's been on my bench and I have Carlos Pena providing the high power, low avg numbers. But I also have McGehee, so one of those three (maybe two?) need to go.

What is your worst hitting cat? You have guys like Dunn and Pena on your team, so maybe AVG is something you should look for, in which case I'd take Weeks. The A's traded Ellis, so Weeks is their everyday man. He will give great speed and average numbers. Probably quite a few runs too until they trade guys like Willingham, Matsui, etc. I don't think Weeks' value would suffer too much even if they were traded.

I would also keep an eye out on Thames also. I think pitching is adjusting the second time around, so I expect him to adjust as well.

J Weeks if you need speed and a 2b, if nothing else matters Thames.
