I used to do this with cleats and basketball shoes. Nike is really great with it. If they determine that whatever was wrong was a 'manufacturers error' then you get an awesome credit. It's good stuff.

I never thought about that for cleats. I used to pitch and would the front by my toe would always get a hole in it from when I drag it. Wish I knew about this in High school

same issue for me until I switched from Nike's to adidas. never had the problem again.

also, with nike, i kept having a problem with one of the metal sikes on my push foot coming loose. I have come to the conclusion that Nike's are just a cheaply made product.

A friend of mine did this and just got his replacement shoes in the mail today. I'd never heard of anybody doing it before he told me. One of the shoes made a squeaking sound when he walked. No receipt or anything, just the cost of sending them back the old ones. Too bad the only shoes I have that are newer than 2 years are my baseball spikes.... I wonder if Under Armor has the same policy.
